How did you choose your alias?

Just wondering how everyone got their aliases on the internet.

I expect that most of the answers will just be 'because it sounds cool', but some people may have a back story.

How did I get Astro?
Well, when I was an 11 year old Halo 3 player, I had an Astro Boy poster in my room (HA GAY!).
When creating my gamertag, I was a little lost for ideas, but noticed my poster on the wall and thought that the name 'Astro' would fit me nicely. 7 years later, I still use the name Astro for almost everything.

My alias is Jon Doe.

My name is Jon.

A "John Doe" is the term for an unidentified dead body (male).

I have often considered my would be heart to be essentially dead, and I am still unable to "identify" myself.

Plus it sounds cool, so why not?

I've owned a few alias's but I've ditched my past ones for personal reasons.

I got Pride from the Seven Deadly Sins, I just like the concept of them and Pride was the first one which came to my mind when creating this account. I'd actually love to own a deadly sin for every SM I own but that'll be a long time coming.

OT: I came up with Rampaging, when I was thinking of an alias, and literally I (used to have anger management issues), went into a rampage, and it just stook.

I was thinking of an alias for hours, but couldn't think of anything that wasn't taken. I gave up and started doing my Science homework. I open the Science book and the first word I see is "genome." It sounds cool and now it's my alias.

Well, I looked at the alphabet, closed my eyes, and whatever letters I put my fingers on, would be my alias, it took awhile, I kept getting shit like "dsgfhjl" and stuff like that and I eventually exploded in anger because all the things sucks ballZ, so I decided "Explode" would be my alias.

My old tag was ColorphuL a few years ago, I decided I'd keep similar tags on all accounts, shortened to color, here I am.

Well I have had many but the one I have at the moment is Graphic the reason I chose it is because I do GFX and Graphic sounded diff and cool.

Back in the Halo 3 days, I randomly thought of the word "Amp", and as you should know, back in those times. You made a new account every month. So I came up with the gamertag "ii Amp", and ever since then I have used Amp.

Didnt want to go by my real name or my old alias "Firm" so when changing my alias I thought to myself "Think of something random". Then bam it popped in my head.
