Well one of my friends tried this a long time ago and his GT was his actual full name and they wouldnt change it...

They're gonna send your problem to the higher ups, probably XBL enforcement team, and they can make a big deal out of it and get you banned for fraud or something.

Just a heads up, youll have to talk to an enforcement agent or else they cant FNC your tag. The other agents have given me 800 microsoft points to change my tag in the past. Hope this helps some people.

They give you a default name like: CollectedEar432432
I doubt its really worth it lol.

Just tried this and I was a convincing argument that my tag was my actual name, yet the lady basically said that due to people abusing the excuse that their tag contained confidential material, they have curtailed issueing free tag changes.

Then she said I should go mow a lawn or something to raise money lol

Doesn't work for first names, fuck. I called in Xbox support & they said as long as you don't have both.

Lol it worked, my gamertag was xXNinjaM4Nx123, so I changed my last name to Ninjaman and told xbox support I was a squeaker and they let me change my name.

Doesn't really work that much. They don't change gamertags too often for this, I was told.

I'm pretty sure the updated method for this is to say you're getting a lot of hate messages.
1. Call Xbox Support
2. Tell them you are getting tons of hate messages on xbox, and it makes it hard to play and makes you feel sad
3. If they ask you to block the people, tell them if you were to block everyone it would be about a 1000 people a day.
4. After a while they should give you a name change to stop the hate mail.


Note: I personally have not tried this method, but people have said it works.
