I don't believe in god

So, yea I don't believe in god. I don't know if this is shamed upon by some people but all my life bad things have happen to me and I find it quit useless to believe in him. I mean it is a random story any whack job could of made up thousands of years ago, religion is just a big waist of time and is truly a joke to me.

Think about it, you sit in church or wherever you go for a hour or two whenever you go, for some people this is more often then other times and you devote your time sitting there talking about something that may not even exist and has never been proven that has existed.

Science is the answer to why things happen, not some fairy tail about some guy.

Anyway, what are your thoughts?

You can believe whatever you want. Anyone can, that is their right. I don't look down on a person who doesn't believe in God even thought I do believe in God. I only look down on people who disrespect other people's beliefs, regardless of what that belief is.

Regarding your statement on science. Science hardly has the answers to everything that happens in the Universe. For example, dark energy and dark matter. They also, have theories that aren't absolute fact. Just an explanation to what they think may be true based on observation and experiments. "A proposed explanation whose status is still conjectural and subject to experimentation, in contrast to well-established propositions that are regarded as reporting matters of actual fact" - Theory.

I do believe there is some sort of higher power out there. At least I am hoping there is. It's hard to think about death. THINK about it, think about putting a gun to your head and pulling the trigger. What comes next? Just absolute darkness? Where do you go? It's mind blowing trying to think of how your whole life can just... vanish? It's like when you go to sleep, but you are never going to wake up. My brain just can't wrap around the concept. I'm not scared of death, but I'm scared of what comes next.

No, we don't know how it was caused as there really is no proof on how it was caused, we have found proof that it actually did happen though.

Isn't the fact that there are Atheists completely prove peoples belief in god false? If there was a god he would make everyone believe in him.

Now lets say that god does exist. Eventually he will come to Earth and show himself(From the bible). What are the chances that out of the 30,000 religions there have been that you chose the right one?

If god did exist wouldn't everyone believe in the same god?

You have a point there but think about all the bad things in thw world that happened, if there was really a god don't you think he would stop the rape, murder, the corrupt governments, terrorists and other horrible things that happen in our world.

What about the other 10,000 religions? Why hasn't he given any signs? Where is the proof he created the world.
I don't get why people think atheists are so bad as there is no hard proof god was ever here.

God doesn't stop all of that because he gives everyone their own choice on how to live their own life. He doesn't force anyone to do anything.
