i have a question about swapping gamertags

i have two accounts i want to swap tags with how long will it take for the gamertag to become available after changing it so i can take it on my other account

If you change the tag on your xbox and take it on xbox.com it goes right away.

It is instantaneous, however if you try punch it in too early on a console, you may get an unavailable notification, so then you must try again until you claim it.
