So I have a old ass toshiba Laptop running windows vista. The bitch has like 600 viruses but still turns on fine and shit like that. The issue is it won't connect to the Internet? It says the network connection is there but it just won't connect. Someone please help me because I am trying to use this computer for something. I need The Internet to work..... Any suggestions

Are you able to just factory reset it? On bootup hold F8 or F12 and go from there?

There is a network key that you can turn on and off, I bet you have it off.

@package I am using wireless, I think this is the model. Toshiba satellite A215-s7437. Also I am trying safe mode right now.

@emp when I held F8 it just beeped at me for like 5 minutes and then gave me the option to start in safe mode..

Don't take it to bestbuy. They will charge you like $100 just to figure out what it has.

If the wireless isn't working but ethernet is, try updating your drivers.

I Ended up getting everything to work for a few minutes but then when I was browsing on google a fuck ton of error pop ups came up saying my laptop is now blocked from the internet if I continue all my information will be stolen with some kinda YAN virus. So I said fuck it and chucked the damn thing back in the closet

download avast and malwarebytes on a usb stick or something if you cant get it on the laptop

do you know what specific viruses / malware is causing this
