Alright. You guys bitch about the questions I ask in my contests so this is my last one for a while.
I dont like giving free stuff to people when they're ungreatful. Yeah, it's only iron ore but it still pisses me off when you bitch about it.

To win, post a quote that is funny. Whatever quote I like the most will win.

What's with the welding questions? I don't know any of the questions myself, but my father should. He's been a welder for about 16 years now, and he is considered one of the best welders in New York City.

I'll play you in Black Ops though.

lol, I love welding.
Send me a message when you get on.
See if your dad can answer them. If he's welded for 16 years they should be simple

I'm sure he can, but he's currently sleeping upstairs, and he also has the flu, so I don't think he wants to answer these lol. Do you weld yourself?

One way to stop Arc Blow from happening is:Use as short an arc length as possible (lower arc voltage) and the lowest current that is practical for the affected joint (possibly a smaller diameter electrode)
When doing a bend test this steel is preferable: Idk, steel?
When doing a bend test with E6010 the joint is a(n): V-groove joint
Name Two exotic steels that can be welded with GTAW: Monel, Platinum

I failed.

Google ftw? lol, but at the Idk, Steel? what kind of steel? I don't think there is just steel in welding. I know there is stainless, and other types, but idk if there is just plain old steel.

lol are you a welder or somethig :D i cbf answering these anymore. GL to anyone who wins

I won/co-won his other contest, too lazy to spend time on this >.>
I tried googling it nothing came up haha.

there are many different types of steel.
Different tensile strengths, some are more ductile than other, torsion strengths, there are a lot of different alloys used to make different metals. For instance T1 is used on haul truck bodies for the miens out where I live. It is a type of steel that has been quenched and tempered.

And yes, I do weld.

lol, Kane lost to me 15-1 on blops.
You guys want different Q's huh?

I also did terrible because I had no warmups. lmfao, gg though.

Incomplete, you should just give it to me :p

If only I had my xbox here. -.-

Make it runescape questions please. I have no idea about welding.

I like welding.
I like people to know about welding.
the questions will be welding.

Welding welding welding.
Its fascinating. lol.

T___T

Alltight then, if it's your thing, keep asking questions about it :p

Make them easier to answer though.

This is like welding 1 info lol

I think they're WAY easy

Until today, I thought welding was getting a spare piece of wire and then melting it to join two surfaces. It doesn't look that simple now.

One way to stop Arc Blow from happening is:
* Use as short an arc length as possible (lower arc voltage) and the lowest current that is practical for the affected joint (possibly a smaller diameter electrode)
* Backward arc blow tends to occur when welding in a direction towards the current return connection, or earth connection, and forward arc blow when welding in the other direction. As it is likely to be easier to control a backward deflecting arc than a forward deflecting one during MMA welding, it is usually better to weld towards the return or earth connections. Use of multiple earth connections may solve the problem altogether.
* Use alternating current (AC) rather than DC for the root run. Note: this may be regarded by some Codes as change of an essential variable and require re-qualification of the welding procedure.

There are more ways! Just naming a few.

When doing a bend test this steel is preferable: KS, JIS, and ASTM
When doing a bend test with E6010 the joint is a(n): groove joint?
Name Two exotic steels that can be welded with GTAW: 520 and 4130

your close but its too copy pastey lol

Lol, How am i supposed to know this :) I dont' even do DT.

Well if nobody gets it could i have some iron ores?

I updated the questions to very simple google answers.

Someone find them already lol...

The Coupling distance while OFC should be: The coupling distance is the distance between the end of the flame cones and the workpiece
While OAW if the flame tries to return to the cylinder it is called a: flashback? I cbf searching any further.
