Cos most fruits are sweet, and peas are sweet.
but the thing is, peas have been deemed vegetables for so long, I can't imagine it being called a fruit

I never thought about this all these days.. I believe pea is a vegetable. I think vegetable is nothing but "vegetation on the table". So obviously pea is a vegetable.
