Is atheism a belief? Religion?

Scientific dating and experimentation shows answers, but the Bible shows a fictional story. Atheism seems to be more of a way of life compared to a belief. I would claim Hinduism thought before Christianity. Or you can be like me not claiming Atheism, and just not express any form of belief.

It's not a belief; it's the lack of belief.
It's not a religion; it's the lack of religion.

It's not a lack of religion. The concept of atheism has no correlation with the concept of religion. Atheists can be religious, i.e Buddhists, Laveyan Satanists, Humanists.

There's plenty evidence of a God.
Many different cultures believe in their own God, shouldn't that be enough evidence?

If there was evidence for God, no one would be atheists. It also does not make much logical sense that atheists are typically smarter and more knowledgeable about religion than theists on average, as statistics and studies dictate if your claim were true.

That's an appeal to population, the logical fallacy that asserts it must be true due to the amount of people who believe it.

But aren't Buddah and Satan deities?

Buddah is not a God. He simply founded the Buddhist philosophy and is idolized by them.

Laveyan Satanists do not believe in Satan or a God. The founder of Laveyan Satanism dubbed it Satanism to piss off Christians. It has nothing to do with Satan, it's philosophy about individuality.

But atheists chose to be atheists, right? So they know there's gods right? But chose not to believe right? So that should be evidence. At one point every atheist knew of one god, then for whatever reasons decided not to believe.

LOL. you're cool guy, way to stay off topic fucking idiot.

The fact that people believe a god (or gods) exists does not give evidence that it actually does. With your logic, Santa Claus exists because my little sister believes in him.

You're saying that atheists are aware of supernatural existence - that is false. We acknowledge the idea of supernatural existence, that is all. The reasons we chose not to follow a book of stories is because there is logical evidence against it. If there was sound proof that a supernatural being existed, then atheism would be as ludicrous as every other religion we know of.

Not necessarily. You were an atheist too at one point. You lacked a belief in a god when you came out of your mother's womb. It's a given default position.

They acknowledge the existence of the concept of a god, but not the existence of a god. The fact the concept exists demonstrates nothing. This same logic you're manifesting to support your beliefs could be applied to anything from Big Foot to the Flying Spaghetti Monster to assert their existence. It's invalid.

Once you realize why you reject every other god you know of. You'll understand why we go one god further than you.

I love you too.

Could it be the way we've been raised? I can't question my thoughts, or ever see myself being an atheist. I've gone through personal experiences that I wish y'all can
See yourselfs. Every baby at birth has no knowledge of religion. It comes as we grow. Your free will as you mature directs your path in life. Hope this doesn't lower your IQ as you read @"Astro"

:p fag lol.

:p friend lol.

You can see how the argument has diverged away from evidence and into personal experience. As great as your personal experience may or may not have been, it is not evidence for god.

Also, I'm not entirely sure that we have free will.

Yea I'm sorry man. It's just that I wish every single person in the world can experience it. Sadly it's not that way. I know there's a God, I just know it.

Also, everyone has free will. You can decide what you want.

Sam Harris makes a convincing argument against free will in his book, 'Free Will'.
