Cann!bal said:The God hypothesis doesn't solve anything, it just arises another question, which is where did God come from? If we decide that God always existed, we can save a step and conclude that the universe has always existed. If we decide knowing whether God is real is an unanswerable question, we can save a step and conclude that the origin of the universe is an unanswerable question.
Once you comprehend quantum physics, something from 'nothing' is completely rational and possible.

And I believe humans almost over powered him, that's why we're all so diverse now and we don't get along.

So... a group/ one person made the decision to make up this big ol tale. Every question that could've been debated at the time, they had a "answer for it" and put everything in this "bible" they thought.. "maybe this tale can give people a meaning, this can be bigger than everyone"
Cann!bal said:I don't understand your suicidal part, but I think the gist is plausible. However, the Bible was not the first religious scripture.
It's better to have a hypothesis than no hypothesis. Hence they made God.
Cann!bal said:Fascinating, now why do you believe that?
Sniper said:Well all of continents were together (I'm trying to recall the story, but I cannot so I'm just speaking out of my ass here/ giving a theory) and everyone was closer and basically had to get along. I think the creator didn't really care about giving anyone different personalities, or we could have been some type of test to see if we would live. Well we lived and then later on the creator didn't feel the need to change anything, so he basically sat back and relaxed. Meanwhile, humans were working together and discovering new things very rapidly. (This is were my theory gets messed up) I think us humans then found a way to have supernatural powers and using that they found a way to see the creator and take him over if they felt the need to. The creator then felt as his creation was intimidating and he wanted to make sure they couldn't do this again. So he made continents and split Pangea up. Once he did that, he/she created different races, colors etc. He also created different personalities which included very negative ones. And that's where we are today.
or whatever we learn in science is what happened. Either or is fine with me
Well that's why I think/believe it and don't support it.Cann!bal said:Do you thoroughly believe that?
The foundation of your beliefs is an assumption that you personally made. Your beliefs hold less proof than a conspiracy theory. You have no evidence to suggest your beliefs are true.
Pangaea wasn't the only supercontinent, it's happened several times.
Sniper said:Well that's why I think/believe it and don't support it.
Cann!bal said:What's the purpose of continuing to believe it, if you don't support it?
Sniper said:What's the purpose of supporting it, when you don't have anything to support it with.
You can't stop gays. You can ban it but it's not like homosexuality will ever stop. Besides, government and religion have been separated for a while now so there isn't anything the Pope can do about it.MarioG said:I rember you having a problem with homosexuels well the Pope said who am I to stop gays.
No offense, but that may be one of the dumbest things I've heard.Resent said:i believe he was once real. Not sure if he is still around..

Chronos said:God is an un-falsifiable entity. There is absolutely no way of proving he does or doesn't exist. At this point, human opinion is brought into play here of whether or not you believe in him. However, once opinion is brought into play, logic is as well. Now, what seems more plausible; the universe started out through the big bang, we evolved from single celled organisms up to primitive apes and then humans, etc., which all has proven facts to back it up through years of scientific studies, or that dinosaurs never existed even though we have their bones, this earth is only 2000 something years old even though through carbon dating we've proved it's not, and that theres a floating man in the sky who created all of this.
