Whoa, I like Paul's response. But I am a believer in Christ. I'm not religious. If you get in depth with it all. its all a big mystery.. like, there's God that created everything. But who created God? who created the universe itself? thinking about it, it's something we will never know. All I know is that I worship God.. you don't like that? well sorry. Well, he supposedly created us, but why did he make us so flawed? Paul H. said that we choose to be flawed, but how can that be when he(God) supposedly created us?

I'm sure statistics could prove that mental illness, traumatic experiences, and depression are the leading causes in becoming homicidal. It would be highly unlikely if he didn't suffer any of the causes I said. Besides this is irrelevant.

I don't think you can use 'Devils use to be Angels' as supporting evidence since we're arguing on whether God exists or not. :3

There would still be challenges, trying to get explore space, learning how to prevent natural disasters, stuff like that. I'm confident there would still be challenges, we also would of progressed much much faster since the world is now a whole. We could have invented things years before compared to now.

I know he still does exist , I'm saying because you ask who created God... what if he was never created, just always there.

God is said to be a omnipotent, which means he can do anything. So he could have existed before the beginning of the big bang. But this seems impossible. But then how about the universe, the laws of physics allow it to be possible that something can be created from nothing, which doesn't make much sense either.

Listen, he didn't make any one "Bad people" we as humans are not meant to be perfect. Survival of the fittest. We can't all be "nice" and walk around with a big cheese smile.

Even angels aren't perfect, for example. Lucifer is said to be God's favorite angel but he rebelled, now we call him the Devil. Because of free will there will never be perfection.

Well, we could if God made us perfect or slightly close to perfect, and you can't say that we aren't suppose to be perfect. And if he is a omnipotent, then shouldn't he have the ability to figure how screwed up the human race was going to turn out? Which brings me to another point, why would he pick Noah to go build a Ark and gather each kind of animal and put them on the Arc and wait for the flood, when he(God) could have simply just snapped his fingers and started over since he's a omnipotent and can do anything? Did he just want to do it the difficult and longer way? God doesn't make sense.

I knew that(I might have used the wrong words when I first said it). It just didn't make sense, since I don't really believe in God, so therefore I wouldn't find it to be a valid piece of evidence, since these are just stories depicted in the Bible and aren't actual evidence.

God is a omnipotent, laws of physics allow something to be created from nothing.

I didn't say that I don't dislike you for religious beliefs. You must have misinterpreted me.

I just stated my reasons why that statement is false(Your writing is a little difficult to understand, I might have misinterpreted you).

I do not deny that it is possible that a deity of some sort has existed or does exist. However I do know for a fact that the god depicted in the bible does not exist. (The god worshiped by Christians, Catholics, etc.)

As for religion as a whole:

Anyone that has common sense and is a logical thinker knows better than to commit to religion. The contradictions, the impossible things which it claims to have occurred, and the lack of scientific proof should be enough to leave a bad taste in your mouth.

I honestly wish I could just wipe the world clean of all religion and people that follow it. Earth would be such a happier, peaceful place. And we could advance and mature as a race. Its really disappointing.

I do not believe in God, as I'd rather take my chances living how I'd like rather than taking orders from someone who nobody is sure even exists.

I should of studied apologetics. It's obvious that the God depicted in the bible does not physically exist. but most people believe he exists in a more spiritual way.(maybe something you have not experienced)

not everyone sees it as religion. Personally my views are different. I do believe in Jesus Christ and try to live day by day on good healthy values. I attend an Evangelical Christian church, I'm there sound engineer. we.. or at least our church don't consider our selfs a "religion".. more of a lifestyle.

Some of you act like people that believe in God pray before bed every night, go to church every Sunday etc. I believe in God but I used to skeptical about it ( agnostic if you will ) and since I started to believe more in the God depicted in Catholicism the only thing that has changed is a sense of more fulfillment.

So @Premortal not all religious people revolve there lives around their religion nor take orders from the bible.

No, we live life the way we want to live but at the same time we understand what the Bible says. And it only helps you live a better life. Doesn't force you to live a life where you are on your knees praying every second.

All this is are options but if you want my opinion I do not believe there is a God I'm more of a man of science Nice thread topic though.

The Big Bang Theory was a Catholic priest's idea.

Time is a measurement of change, God does not change as He is perfect, therefore God is outside of time. Some philosopher wrote some deep shit on that. Because of that He has "always" existed.

Glad to know A lot of people think the Bible is a evil book that doesn't help anyone, but even if you don't believe Jesus is God, the Bible has a lot of helpful philosophies and advice.

Living on Earth is a test, if you will, to see if we love God. If we choose in the end to be with Him, we go to Heaven. If we choose to ignore him, we go to Hell. We choose where we go in the end. If someone hates God or is a hardcore atheists who hates all things moral, they will not choose to be with God after death. That's the response to those who say "why would an all-loving God send His people to Hell"... He doesn't. We choose our fate in the end.

Science and God are not opposites. Give me a scientific fact and I will show you how it fits in to religion, specifically Christianity.

Here is how I view religion.

If you tell a child to believe something and you are their parent, they assume you know everything and that you are authority so they will believe it.

If you tell a full grown man, who has been through school, and understands the capabilities of the world to believe in a god, they will most likely think it's a joke.

This is my experience, I was raised to believe whatever I wanted to believe, and after learning things, I realized that a god is impossible. Therefore I don't believe in god. These are my opinions, and I am not intending to offend anyone.

I am agnostic on this whole god concept, but leaning towards atheism, honestly.
