Is suicide selfish?

I think the suicide is a choice. A hard choice, to the "victim" and the victim's family and friend, yeah, but the choice of the person. While we are in pain we must respect the will of the person.
If she commited suicide, there is a reason. Her pain. If she commited that, it's because she could not stand this pain on herself, the suicide appears to her as the only possible outcome and to be in peace...
I know that.. I have already thought of that. And a family member recently left by this way...
Do you think the suicide is selfish? To me, no..

IMO, suicide is just not right. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean you have to kill yourself. Also, just because you are stressed out you don't have to kill yourself either.

Suicide is definitely selfish. First and foremost only God can take away a person's life as He is the one who gave it. The mere fact that taking away your own life is an act of selfishness because you only think about yourself and not of others. If you have strong desire and love for your family you can resist the thought of ending your life because you are thinking about them and not just about your own sufferings. For me, suicide is the most selfish act a person can do to himself.

Yes. With that said, God said if you do commit suicide, you will not go to Heaven because that's murder.

God, always god... Don't you think without god? If God exist and is so good, why he let the person on suffer? So much suffering that then person wants to die.
Stop think always with faith, but think with your head, sometimes. Sometimes, the suffering is more strong that the love for others..

Yes, it is very selfish and absolutely not good because we don't have the right to take out the life that God has given to us. Only Hm has the right to take it away. It is selfish because you will make your family suffer and you will hurt them because of killing yourself.

I don't get the point suicide being selfish. But if you mean committing suicide is a selfish act, perhaps yes, perhaps not. I think when one commits suicide, it is the point when the person loses his self worth. The selfish part would be not thinking of those who and what will be left behind.

Yes sometimes people commit suicide too to protect other's interests. It's a complicated matter and its really hard to make judgement.

I agree with you, to say that suicide is really a selfishness thing on earth. You decide it through yourself, you ain't bypass the rhythm of having a friend, you just act like you are alone in this world.

I can feel the pain in your words but it is not a justification for suicide..There are many factors which leads to the take the extreme step,so better avoid that and make strong faith in God..

At any rate, suicide is a bad choice. We may have endless problems, people may misjudge us, nobody may seem to care but just put in your mind, nothing is permanent in this world. One day, everything shall pass so let us give tomorrow a chance for we do not know what lies ahead.

If i straight go with your question than i don't think suicide is selfish. One is giving his life away and how could that be selfish. If one is committing suicide than surly he must have gone through something wrong or pain, that makes the world selfish not him/her.

Yes suicide may not be a selfish act but nevertheless, we must do our best to discourage anyone who we think is going to the point of committing it. I understand the dilemma he may be in but we have no right to end our life. I am not condemning anyone but I am discouraging the idea.

We don't have the right to take our own life since God gave it to us. If you don't believe in God, you are denying your whole existence and you are corrupting yourself with lies. Suicide can never be the answer to anything.

for me committing suicide is an act of cowardliness:alucard:
the person who can not fight back in his/her life commits this act.i am not one of them.whatever the situation might be in future i would never take that road.i have learned to fight and will always fight with the adverse conditions in my life.

its very difficult choice, but it is selfish as u get free from every pain and what about the ppl u left behind what will they have to face?

As against you, respect the non-believers ! :nono: don't say the non-believers denying them existence and live with lies. You have faith, we don't have. respect that. This kind of opinion ("because god"...) is not interesting...

yes its a kind of crime.its not legal at all and its no good.only coward attempt to suicide.you should fight back and stand tall in each lows and high of your life.
