Commeting suicide is really bad for the people that loved that person, but the person that commites suicide doesn't realise that.
If you ever know somebody that is going to do that, tell him that, maybe he changes mind and if he doesn't, just beat him up xD.

I think suicide is selfish, becouse in my opinion u want to end your life becouse it doesn't go the way u wanted for some time (maybe short maybe long, depends no human mind) and not thinking what would others poeple life is and they still manage to get their life in their hands. Also i think not many people can try to hurt themself becouse i think only few poeple can hurt themself.

in my opinion it is selfish if they just hang on longer and tell people about whats going on then they will get through it, people that commit suicide are generally not thinking about other liek there family and friends they dont think what it could be like on them it could split the family apart

It's not about selfish, cause it's wrong question... Everything isn't so simple (selfish or not) as you can see some posters don't get it at all what is this all about.
Generally if you gonna ask yourself too much existential questions, try to find meaning of life and realize the only meaning (there's no objective meaning of life) then existential philosophy (even dark part of it) won't look "not right" (sure you need understand philosophy).
Martin Heidegger, A. Schopenhauer, F. Nietzsche, A. Camus and others did great remarks about suicide.

For me suicide is an act of being coward! Others tend to kill themselves,because they are afraid to face the truth, they are coward to find the solution for their problems,and they have fear of the consequences of the actions they made.

I know a person that tried to kill himself, and he definitly was not a coward..He did most of the things that normal people would not even do in dreams just for his family..And one day his life made him "the game" that his wife and kids go away from him..he then got nothing left and he though about suicide..but he said to himself that he would start from begining and do everything to get his family back..today he got his family back and making a better life than before for his family and himself


So i think most people try to suicide not for being cowards, it's becouse they got nothing left..or they think that way that they dont have anything

Suicide is definitely selfish. God has given our life and you can't take that away since God is the only one that can take that away from you. Fate and God dictates what would happen to you.

Suicide is the only Emo-people Does. They give up because they are burdened too much, they want a easy escape on their problems.

suicide is actually very stupid and selfish act where they have no other choice and they are afraid to face the truth . Their act will cause more burden on others and never pity them for doing this .Recently there is a case, a girl have failed and suicide herself just after her dad had scold her.This seems to be too stupid and they did not think further about what actually they are facing in their life.

Suicide not always selfish, when someone has terminal pain they cant bare. Head problems can be helped though, and this comes under self help and mental health. It's a permanent solution for the temporary problems in your life..
No matter how bad you feel, you have to believe that God wont give you more than you can handle.

I think the suicide is a choice. A hard choice, to the "victim" and the victim's family and friend, yeah, but the choice of the person. While we are in pain we must respect the will of the person.
If she commited suicide, there is a reason. Her pain. If she commited that, it's because she could not stand this pain on herself, the suicide appears to her as the only possible outcome and to be in peace...
I know that.. I have already thought of that. And a family member recently left by this way...

The way weak hearted people take to suicide, attempt it is not good idea. Its very painful to see that the innocent people take their own life, the life they led in pathetic conditions. They want peace after death, rather seek peace in it. But there is no life after death of course.

I wish they could see better world in which they try again to find solace and work hard for the best possible.
