No, edge is a different browser. You can use either browser you want, this browser looks a shit ton different. I'm not going to lie though, if you have like  8 tabs opened it starts to lag a lot.

Yes, my friend has had it since the beta and he said that he has yet to find a windows 8 app that does not work with windows 10. I've had it since yesterday and my main apps still work ; Photoshop CC, Steam, CS:GO, Skype, Spotify and Lightshot.
