Made Myself A Background

I find this piece to be boring. No.. more than that.
I believe that this piece is a minor edit that just... barely, if you will, scratches the surface of what I would consider a good edit. The colors are hardly changed, and it seems not much effort was put into the piece at all. I think you should work on the changes a little bit more and make the colors pop. There isn't much to grab the eye, and even if it is for personal use, it does not seem to have the appeal that some other images hold. The point of showing of something in a "gallery" is to garner attention towards your skill, or just to show something that would never have any use anyway. I believe that you can do so... so much more to make this a great thing.

Guess you didn't listen to Carbon. He clearly said "Don't post in this thread". At least you gave some advice. For your knowledge, I was only using a few tools, sponge, burn and dodge. As well as some color changes. Although it's nothing major I did it to my personal preference, I wasn't expecting "OH AMAZING JOB" I clearly said I didn't make the background from scratch.

All I can say to you is, read the thread completely before posting. You'll find yourself a better member.

Not much of a background, you haven't done much to the picture, and it saddens me the low-quality criticism that people post, and how it doesn't affect the artist(s).
@"DrecliN", you need to learn to accept CnC if it's good or bad and to move on from it.

I don't see Provenance being in the wrong here, clearly DrecliN didn't appreciate the criticism. They were both in the wrong, if you take action, take it twice on the two users. It takes two to flame.
