Crayo, It would be a good idea, in my opinion if you pay for offserver backups from HostGator as a service (if they do it) on a regular basis, sure you can do it, but it's just an idea as there's always going to be a time when you can't do it for whatever reason.

Funny you should suggest that actually, I was planning on asking them that tonight when I got time to have a conversation with one of their reps. I doubt a big host like Hostgator would offer that service though, as they already produce weekly backups of all their sites, but it's something I can ask.

For a big community like this, weekly backups aren't enough to be fair, you need daily at least, preferbly every 6 or so hours.

Yeah that's hostgator who does weekly backups. I'm not performing one every 6 hours roughly, sometimes even more if we've had an hour of constant posting.
