You could create a media forum, for TV shows and films, and just stick an anime sub-forum into that.

Anime is such a vast topic it deserve it's own section.

TV Shows and Films will get less attention then anime which is clearly showing in various other forums. IMO there should be an Anime Forum with TV shows as a sub-forum

I've been meaning to sort that out. I think merging the Runescape section with Gaming will be better. Runescape is dead and pointless really.
I must agree with Crayo on this one for the time being however. There isn't enough interest to warrant a new section, JUST YET. Dislike the idea of merging another forum to give it some content however. I would rather the content be 100% MF's since I feel we are large enough to sustain ourselves rather than rely on absorbing failed forums threads.

tl;dr I agree but only when we get more interest and don't need to merge.

Who are you to say that there isn't enough interest to warrant a new section.

Without a mean of expressing our interest (now we have this thread) there will never be interest shown.

The best way for Crayo to assess the interest is to have an anime section open for 7 days and see if it progresses and becomes a stable section with new content posted frequently.

I see no reason as to not call it 'Anime Adventures' if the section where to be allowed to emerge.

It certainly is an adventure into the world of anime IMO.
