Off-site Scams

I believe that off-site scams should also be a bannable offense, purely because whether the scam is offsite or onsite, it is a scam nonetheless...

I know many of you will point out that FK isn't liable for offsite scams, I think nonetheless if given enough proof of who exactly the scammer is, they should be banned onsite.

I know that some members have been banned for scamming high amount offsite, but I think the rule should be ALL offsite scams purely because FK as a community wants all the scammers gone, and keeping the offsite scammers on site is just as toxic as it is if you keep onsite scammers here....

Regardless of the members getting banned, I would rather FK be smaller with actual trust, than the size it is now, with the amount of toxic members there are now... I don't think that many people would be banned to be honest, but I am sure a few more scammers would be fucked so...

It'd be a challenge, unless the person has valid proof they are speaking to the user in question its hard to ban someone for scamming offsite.

I agree with that completely, and if you read my OP more or less, I pretty much said that the user under accusation of scamming offsite needs to have a sufficient amount of proof to prove them as the scammer, Innocent until proven guilty so to speak....

But ANYONE can claim that their kik, aim, skype, etc. has been compromised, with an FK account admins can view the IP address and make sure they all match up. It'd essentially require a PM directly before the deal is made.

@Tempts I agree with what you said to some degree, but 99% of the kik messages will show sufficient proof that the acc wasn't jacked, and that the user has in fact scammed the user posting the report...

See although I'm a 2014 fag, I would kind of beg to differ... Although there are scammers offsite and we all know that, I feel like many of the trusted and fair sellers out there are not offsite scammers... Banning the few that can be proven as offsite scammers wouldnt hurt the community in the long run in my opinion...

Having strikes.
Let me describe this:

If you scam offsite and get caught, a strike would be put on your account (kinda like DWC) and it is public to see.
If you get caught a certain amount of times you get banned.
The strikes should have a link to the thread where you were caught at.

Just an idea, you can change some stuff up.

I agree the market korner is a large necessity, but with all the offsite scamming, lots of people are becoming extremely hesitant to deal lots of the time... I feel that offsite scammers being banned would help out with the hesitation...

If you have onsite proof that the kik or offsite method they're contacting you is them, then the scam isn't onsite, but it is certainly a scam by them nonetheless
