Phones in school?

I think you can bring them to school and use them between classes and shit. Just don't pull out a phone and start talking to somebody in the middle of class because that's obviously rude.

At my school, they allow electronics only if the teacher says its okay.

So pretty much all my teachers let us use our phones, i-pods, etc. Pretty cool shit.

Where I am, the first time your phone is taken, it's taken for 5 school days (if they just so happen to take it before a holiday, you have to wait still). After the first time, they take your phone for the rest of the year.

Lol, once my friend was texting in a lesson, the teacher put his phone is a drawer, then someone started ringing him, it was vibrating so loudly it was pretty funny imo.

That would be ideal except people would use the excuse they are talking to a friend or parent all the time through texts when they get caught.

I keep my phone hidden, and turned off all during school hours. I believe we should be able to have them, but not use them unless given permission. Or of course, at lunch. In the halls, I don't see too much of a problem with that. Just in the classroom, no way.

Phones should be allowed in school but turned on silent, a warning should be given to some of those who forget to turn it off, no warning should be given to those who attempt to abuse it, use of phones in school should result in losing it until the end of the day.

At my school the rule has recently changed, you can use your phone in between classes and @ lunch. But ovecourse many people use it during class anyway and the teachers at my school are to nice to actually take them when they see it.

i m gonna be honest and say NO CELLPHONES IN SCHOOL, this is because its very very distracting, its VERY VERY disrespectful to someone who's giving u education, it basically indulges you into it so that you would ignore everyone around u.

The cell phone rules need reworking. The capabilities of phones could definitely benefit a young scholar now-a-days.

While i agree with this on a certain level there is also the need for emergency contacts.
