Posts in Junk Areas

Now, I know it feels really bad to have 1500+ posts in Junk Areas. Why? Because, everytime I participate in a group activity and when the group is changed, the new owner either deletes the posts or junks them. What is Junk Section meant for? It was meant for Spam Posts, Unnecessary & LQ Posts, not for posts that aren't needed or topics that are needed to be locked. Unapproving posts is same as Junking. It reduces post count from a user. I used to run a group called Element, which had 2000+ Posts in Sub Forum. When it was sold, I lost around 1000+ Posts from post count. Why? Because they wre Junked. Same happened to the old Superior Group, when they changed to Riders.

I saw, why? Just because someone buys a group doesn't mean they can remove your posts. Junking is same as deleting. Why? Because it necessarily renders the posts useless. True that I made the tools that would help Mods with Junking, but doesn't mean that it can be abused.

My Suggestion is that when a group is changed, a Section called Old should be created in Sub Forum and move the current topics into it and lock it, before changing the group.

Now, you maybe wonder why I'm not a top poster, because most of my posts from groups are in Junk.

A section called Archive should be created and old threads should be moved there. Opinions please.

Doesn't make sense Jimmy, if someone buys a new group they don't want the previous posts from the group to still be there. Group posting should start fresh when the transfer is complete from one user to the next.

The posts should be kept but removed from the sub-forum when a new group purchase is made.

Did you read the OP properly? I suggested that such posts should be moved into a section called Archive.

Now, it should be implemented. I don't see why people must lose posts.

Exactly, everytime a new transfer in confirmed on a group all the previous group posts should be archived. Great idea Jimmy!

Especially you. You change a lot of groups.

Yep, sure do. I am thinking of changing 2 groups soon as well. So this may come in handy.

Without other members opining, this can't happen.

I put time into posting as to maintain quality, therefore, I too, would be pissed at the fact of losing such a quantity in such a brief moment. I agree what you're saying, something should be done to prevent this from occurring again, or even multiple multiple times in the future.

Shouldn't you speak to Philly about this Jimmy, this doesn't matter to any current owners because no one is selling there group as of yet.

Without the community wanting this, we can't implement it.

I must say, I don't agree with this. It's not a bad idea, but I'm confused on how this would work. I don't see a reasonable place for this "Archive" section to be placed. If it's within the group, the group owner may not want it there. If it's outside the group, and available to just anyone, others may not want it there, they posted surging that subforum fur a reason. I must also add, none of the groups ever make it past a few hundred posts anyway now, other than Superior. :/

Archive section will remain confined to Staff only, maybe Power+. It'll be in Private Section.

I agree with this, when I originally sold Immortals last year I lost a ton of posts so this would be a great addition.

I disagree. I recently bought a group off 630 and it was about videos and making them, and the group I want is a computer support group. How are the old posts related to the group I want?

So this idea is a waste of time.
