I love the presidential debates.

Here are some highlights I tweeted/facebooked:

Obama: "Every time you've offered an opinion, you've been wrong." How can Romney be wrong about his opinion?

"When people vote, they vote for peace, not war." - Romney

Obama just brought up this 5 trillion dollar tax cut, again >_>

Never heard a president use the term "whopper". Lol.

And probably a ton of tweets I don't feel like watching. Anyone else watching it?

Actually, I am not watching it. Don't feel like watching non-sense right now. But I did happen to go downstairs where a television is on with the debate and I heard Obama say "uh" three times in five seconds. I was impressed. Those five seconds are all I have heard of it so far.

Going off topic >_<

Anyways, they labeled it as an Obama win. Obama can't win.

I have friends who watch the debate, but I find it pointless. I can't vote. I have no intention of arguing with people about who's the better choice.

Yes, when I finally do go out on my own, I will be faced with either one of the candidates plans, but my opinion doesn't matter at 16.

It is funny, because people complain about his 14% he paid. But don't look at anything else. For example, he doesn't get a salary for his job = Unpaid Governor. His income is his investments. He also donates a lot to charity.

Here is a nice little story that I thought was funny:

A man was went over to his very liberal friend's house. They had a daughter and she mentioned that one day she wanted to be president. So he asked, "What will be the first thing you do as President?" She responded, "I will give money and food to the poor." Of course her parents beamed with pride over this answer. So he (the man) said to her, "You know you don't need to be president to do that, you can start now. Just come over to my house and rake up my leaves and wash my car and in return I will give you $50. Then I will drive you down to the supermarket and let you give that $50 to the bum who sits outside there all day so he can buy food." The little girl thought for a few seconds and then said, "Why doesn't the bum come to your house and rake your leaves and wash your car so he can get the $50 himself and get the food he needs?" The man smiled and said "Welcome to the Republican party."

If anyone responds to anything I said in this post without responding to the whole post or say "tl;dr" then the response better be good.

I'm so glad to see I'm not the only non-democrat on the internet, Reddit had me worried .
Anyone see the final debate tonight? I honestly didn't watch to much, but I wasn't as impressed as I was with the first 2 and the VP debate. Neither came off to strong in my opinion, although my family loved Romney and Reddit loved Obama. Haha one thing I noticed was the moderator said something along the lines of
"Obama's Bin Laden". Was it meant like that or "Obama's--Bin Laden" like he accidently said the wrong word then corrected himself? If it's the first, I've got a bone to pick with Bob :3.

His income was from capital gains. Arnold Schwarzenegger was also an unpaid governor. I'm not sure what this has to do with anything.

Capital gains is the money earned from profit from stocks. Profits from stocks is taxed on a lower rate than normal income because it is considered to be taxed twice because you earned already from your normal income.

This is not the case. You are only taxed on your profits, not the total amount you sold the stock for. Therefore it is not being taxed twice, it is being taxed once. The profit is new money, not old money.
