There are a couple of Power+ members that do not own awards or groups and It is in our interest to upgrade as that is what helps Philly pay the hosting bills and maintain the site.

Well that is an obvious, those who are Power+ have all contributed more money than just the simple Power upgrade.
Just because they don't have the group or award anymore does not mean anything, 90% of the groups have been bought sold, as well as the awards.

Upgrading is contributing to the site, owning a group or an award is going beyond that, which is why you receive Power+(well 99% of them).

Not true.

Not character evading, you mad staff?

The point here is the Power+ members are usually people that are responsible members.

I find it funny how every who has voted no, hasn't given their reasoning as to doing so because they're all rep-whores who cares about green pixels on their profile.

Maybe we could have a system where you could dispute negative rep from banned users and have it removed?

I sit here, and I watch people argue about things that are pointless, and then I think how boring your life has to be.

Anyway, on topic, I somewhat agree with this. Should it be automatic? No, it shouldn't. Why? Some members earn a legit vouch rep from members who get banned doing something that doesn't even involve them, and now you're asking to take away rep they've earned? It doesn't matter if the member was banned or not, if they earned that rep, they should keep that rep.

It's like someone coming into a store you own, and paying for some type of service. You complete the service, and this guy goes and spreads around the word that you do what you do extremely well. Then, that guy goes to jail. Should your store suffer a blow to its reputation because this guy messed up doing something not pertaining to you?

I believe you have something here, but it's not 100%. It'd cause a lot of trouble and honestly, it'd probably screw a lot more members than it'd help, so I'm voting no.

By the way, it's ignorant to think that just because someone doesn't agree with this, they're a rep whore, so maybe change what your options up there say.

I understand why you disagree, but why shouldn't we make it automatic and take some work off of staff's hands seeing if a member is banned and the user reports it, staff will remove it will no questions asked.

This is something that I have wanted to do for a while. I will see what I can do, obviously it would have to be a custom plugin.

I really don't care one way or the other. With pardon requests it may as well just stay. I think having 5, 7, and 10 rep would be better whileon the topic of rep. I don't see it as an a big deal though, it's just a number.

I'm pretty sure that its already setup like that. I lost all my rep when i got perma banned after the fight i had with Philly.

I would love for this to happen. Even though a lot of my rep would be gone I don't really care.
I remember I had a neg from Dreams for the longest time when he was banned. It got removed after the rep reset spree.

No, you just got banned before the reset of everything.

Reputation is reputation. If you payed for the right to give it and you repped someone, they shouldn't have to suffer/benefit from your ban.

I think it should stay. Rep is opinion on someone else. So just because the user got banned, doesn't mean their opinion changed.

If they're banned permanently their opinion should be no more.

Hey, welcome back! Let's see how long it takes for you to get banned..... again.

I can't agree with that. Maybe just make it neutral in case they're to return. Just because someone is banned doesn't mean their given reputation is irrelevant.

I just posted McLovin's facebook publicly so it shouldn't be long!
