We shouldn't have the reputation report system. If someone has been given a neg unfairly (not likely) they should post it in the private inquires section. There should be a button where you view rep to take you to a help document telling you how to deal with rep abuse.

Same here, If you neg someone you expect it to stay there, If everyone is going to report the neg there is no point in a neg rep system. The way I said would benefit the forum in more ways what do you think?

No, reputation does not determine a person's trust level, but it determines the worth of a person's account, and you shouldn't buy something that is worth more than the seller's account. That's how you get scammed.

Yes, people can and do rep4rep all the time, but it's still time and worth put onto that person's account.

In that case you should never deal with someone on FK cause nobodys account except for maybe mine or Philly's is worth more than something they are selling.

A member on here admitted to scamming someone in-real-life for $300, I gave him three negative reputations and they were all removed. I put my strong beliefs in those negative reputations, and to see them simply vanish for no reason considering they weren't rep abuse is astonishing. I honestly think staff doesn't want to deal with or hear about anyone's complaining, so they remove all reported reputations.

True, I've had to re-add my negative reputation on Kev at least 9 times. I think he's given up now. Reported reputation needs to be handled more thoroughly. It shouldn't be deleted just because it's reported.

Was the kid you're talking about the one who scammed the guy on Craigslist for a banned Xbox or something? I remember negging him, not sure why they would be removed. Sure some of them broke the rules with some vulgarity but the majority were clean, and all were valid. I do agree there should be one person who moderates reputation, and only reputation. Staff and Moderators can bother with their own section and not just remove reputations out of laziness or naivety (whichever the case).

I'm unsure if it was him. I was mainly speaking out in general though, and wasn't really directing this towards anyone in particular. Thanks for all of the informative responses, and I would like to see someone with a higher status approve of this suggestion.

Currently, we only allow Staff to remove Rep. That's how MyBB Works. And MODS don't get Rep Reports. Also, we overlook how users report reps. Some users are too mad to remove valid and flame on their reports. That's a case where we decide to not remove.
