Reputation Removed

This is just a suggestion, and will probably not follow through. I just want to see how many supporters I can get, and maybe this will follow through.

There have been many instances in the past, where reputation has been a big problem, even for me. There has been, for certain users, and it is causing a problem, in my opinion. If we don't have reputation, we won't have any problems. Unless rep whores get angry because there won't be any rep anymore.

I do not care about rep, I have in the past, and I admit it. Megatron, you allowed rep to be asked for because people didn't follow the rules for it, I believe. (Correct me if I am wrong). It will make things better, and wont cause any problems.

I vote yes, Over the last couple of days there have been multiple threads of people
complaining about unfair Rep. To me it just causes problems, and things would work
better without it.

With that said, Rep can be a good thing to. It can drive members to be more HQ, nice, helpful etc..

There are pros and cons, but it does cause drama in the community. But it also does allow members to show their opinion of people. For example LQ posters have a high amount of negative rep. I would have to ponder more about it to truly make my decision and input.

Maybe we should just ban/warn the fuckers who make the rage threads about rep? No point in removing reputation altogether, if you look, you'll see that rep actually does have a pattern. High quality members have a high number of reputation points, and low quality members have a high number of negative reputation points. So, instead of removing the reputation system altogether, you should probably just start banning the fuckers who are making rep rage threads, they're all Low Quality anyway for even having negative reputation to rage for anyways. Show me a member with negative reputation who is High Quality.

No, Rep keeps people in place, because so many people are scared about getting neg reps, they avoid certain things.

Why not just remove negative reputation? Then, if you don't like someone, you just don't give them any reputation.

Rep is just a worthless number. It gets people no where. I think it should be removed.

Besides, people like me are getting rep fucked because we are going to win the contest.

I think rep helps show people how you have contributed to the forum. You get well known etc.

Rep should be replaced with a Likes given status. That actually helps in showing what you contribute. People just have to hit the likes button, and whazzam.

No support from me. Just because you are getting -reps doesn't mean you gotta get butt hurt and rage over rep. It's there to see how people think about you, and if you helped anyone out with something.

I don't really care about rep. What I do care about though is that you just said I am butthurt and rage over rep. Rep is a worthless number, and is only good for hurting one's eyes.

Your post was a reference to me, obviously. Lets state the facts. You posted straight after I did. Obviously, my rep is a ugly red apple that hurts my eyes. And obviously, people don't look at me very well because I am winning the contest by a landslide. Even if you were not aiming your words at me, you should have not stated them after big red apple guy posted, because it looks like you are referring to big red apple guy.

I am somewhat in for this because we do have the vouch system but reputation is just what other people think of you.
