Your post was a reference to me, obviously. Lets state the facts. You posted straight after I did. Obviously, my rep is a ugly red apple that hurts my eyes. And obviously, people don't look at me very well because I am winning the contest by a landslide. Even if you were not aiming your words at me, you should have not stated them after big red apple guy posted, because it looks like you are referring to big red apple guy.

Anyways, I support. I do have some greens and reds on my rep, but most people that give red are just butthurt over something. I personally don't give a shit about rep, but I do enjoy giving revenge rep, because I know it just makes them even more butthurt about it.

Revenge rep is one thing that ruins this system, but so is bias opinions and drama. I see too many random -reps with stuff like "umad?" (as an example) on it. Also, some people get butthurt over rep even though they say they don't care about it, resulting in more drama over it. Sure, it sucks knowing that people hate you! Hell, I want people to announce their love to me in their rep as much as the next guy (yes this is an invitation for you to neg rep me some more if you thought about that. lol)

Rep is a giant system of bias. By removing it, most of the bias will also be removed.

Like I said, replace it with something that would show how many likes your posts have gotten.

I wouldn't remove rep, it's a nice way for thanking someone for constributing.

Thats why I suggested a the amounts of likes one receives to be shown on their miniprofile when they post. That will truly show how much the contribute.

i'm kind of feeling this motion. yes, reputation can be good for certain things, but on here the main use is to get it from giving shit away... I just got negative rep'd by a guy that calls people skid saying that people should "DEAL WHIT CAUTION" to me because i gave him negative rep for being an asshole to other members (he also called me a skid in it actually). It's kind of dumb that people abuse the reputation factor. Vouches would be all around better and seeing as you have them already, there is no point for reputation. Rep just mainly was put there to go along with actual tradings and dealings, not revenge repping people because they put you on blast because you're being a dick.

What most people cease to understand is that it is a number, that is MUCH more trouble then it is worth. I agree with you, it does have it's uses, such as to show off some non-trade vouches, but in the long run, it is just irritating shit to show how much someone doesn't like you.

It's not gang rep. Everybody didn't get together on Skype and say "lets all negative rep him!!!". He is a terrible spamming member and deserves all his rep. And he is even getting useless positive rep but thats a not problem, right?
