Yeah I think they should be banned as well. Its like having a killer from another country come and stay in yours as long as he doesn't kill in your country.

This is actually quite easy to avoid though. As you can see you have quite a few options when you know someone is a scammer. Let us review these options dealing with sweaty balls while transaction is going down or just not fucking deal with them. Hmm. I couldn't decide. Let me see here again. OH YEAH! Just don't deal with them not that hard lol.

This is one of the stupidest rules on FK (IMO).

@Michael what is your opinion? I think that scammers are scammers. Why should it matter where you scam? If you murder someone in one state, you're still guilty in the next state lol. Scamming is scamming . Simple as that.
The only problem with that is that we are not connected with any other sites nor do we have a constitution or universal laws placed upon us by a higher power or government like the states do. I think the better analogy would be, "If you are a citizen of two countries, and you murder someone in one of them, and then move back to the other."

And the you can also say, if the deal is not affiliated or on FK, why should action be taken against the user on FK? It is extremely easy to make a deal on-site and just takes a few seconds to send one PM to do so. So if you are incapable of being able to create a private message, I don't think you should be here in the first place lol.

What I was talking about is, scamming someone that not even the community knows, like on Xbox or something.

Yes, at least for the ones who intentionally scam members off site so they don't get banned. Either way, it's not going to happen.

In this case, no, not at all. I don't give a shit if you want to go scam for msp. Lol. That's not even relevant to FK.

Scamming is scamming , if you're a offsite scammer you'll do it ONSITE . This rule won't change because if it did a staff member would be banned in the process
anyone whose been here long enough knows the staff member in talking about .

Is there not a universal law? I'm pretty sure stealing is wrong nearly everywhere you go. I don't understand why it should matter if the deal has anything to do with FK or not. Do you want this community filled with people that scam offsite? Scammers are scammers and if someone is willing to scam someone from another community, who says they won't scam someone in this community.

The average FK user is fucking stupid. I love when people call other users stupid and in that comment, they have grammatical errors.

It's*

On topic: So you guys are fine with scammers using this loophole to scam. As long as they get the new member to trade offsite/not request a PM, they can get away with it? Then there are these kids saying scamming some random kid you don't know for MSP is fine. No, not really. You're still stealing. I guess we'll have to rename this site "Scam Korner." =/

If you noticed at every single one of my 2 thousand posts I don't give a shit about grammar on a website < Philly needs to make a thread about welcoming new members and how to deal properly if the new member decides not to read it then its there own fault.

It takes two minutes to PM to seal the deal.

Not if you turn inside out the MD5# and the clearance level is lowered.

This is an interesting point. Iv been studying MD5# for almost a year now but it does have its flaws. That being said yes i think off site scamming should be against the rules. Once a scammer always a scammer, and they will scam here eventually.

Who is to say that anyone will or won't scam? No one. So as long as they don't scam in the community I am apart of, then I don't care.

And @"Michael", how would we even no if someone scammed a random on Xbox?

And people are making a huge deal out of an extremely solvable issue. All you must do is take five seconds to send a single PM. I don't understand why this concept of sending just one PM to make a deal on-site is so hard for so many people to grasp.

Yes, I beleive offsite scamming and even admitting to scamming should be a permanent ban.
I don't care how legit a person can be, if they had scammed in the past then they have the motive to do it again.
Who says a forum will stop them from scamming within the forum? This is getting ridiculous and the people who have scammed should be dealt with properly.

My opinion on this.

It would be obvious that there will be some complications.
When opening a scam report, offsite or onsite, you're going to need legitimate proof.
And if someone is ignorant enough to do a deal on Xbox, then that's on them.

I personally think if the person they scammed, onsite or offsite, was on the forum then they should be banned.
If they scam a random person on xbox or something, they should have no reason to be banned.
