It's a lot easier to enter a phrase into the Google search engine, and click a link. There are dozens of professional websites that are dedicated to specific materials, which can aid in one's studies. There is no such thing as a bad teacher. There is however, such a thing as a bad student who blames his or her failures on others.

Actually, believe it or not there is. Some teachers don't know how to teach. What I mean by this they will sit in front of the class room and do problems and show you what they can do. But won't explain to you how to do them. My pre-calc teacher was like that. My calc 2 teacher didn't understand the material and would do problems wrong and take the whole class time trying to figure out where she messed up. Both circumstances require the student to put extra effort into learning the material from just the book or other sources (which is what I did.)

Anyway, I think others here agree that it would be convenient and nice to have a section of the forum for this.

I would love this. Not just to leech off answers, but I'm ok at basic math until I learn calculus.

Don't worry. High school calculus is easy and calc 1 in college is fairly simple as well. If you ever need help just ask me, and hopefully I can remember everything well. =p

since you like math i should have you just do all the calculations i need at work sometimes for metal expansion rate or metal shrinkage rate instead of be just trial and erroring it.
