It's ok in some cases as of one you just explained.
But a new forum with 8 tabs no content 3 members...
They are not ok in that case.

Well, it's there for new forum owners. I'm not enforcing them on you so you can run it however you want to :)

I know.
I meant in the case of I doubt I'll ever run my own forum. ;)

Nice tips. I find that far too many forums copy the big successful forums, thinking that because somewhere else does it and it works, they can copy that layout. Doesn't work like thank goodness.

I thought you wanted tips in the beginning lol but nonetheless awesome tips i followed most of them when i made my forum before.
