I own a Tritton AX720+ headset, and despite the times I've had to send them in for repair/replacement, I still enjoy them, and they are really good. Just my opinion, though.
It's the best headset as it is, but then the mixamp makes it even better; voice and game control, plus the ability to plug an iPod into the mixamp and listen to your music whilst playing etc.
