So recently I had to use the app uber for the first time and had someone come pick me up, the driver I got looked like he was on crack and going to kill me. It was pretty weird. Has anyone else used uber before? Was your uber a good time or a bad time?
 
When I travel for cons I usually use uber the entire time I'm there instead of renting a car.
You get weirdos sure, but in order to be a driver you have to get fingerprinted, background/drug/alcohol tested.
The whole 9. I dont feel completely safe sometimes, but its the same risk you take as you would getting in a taxi, y'know?
I fucking love uber though lol and lyft! lyft is a bit cheaper I believe in some areas as well.
 
Nope, I've never used uber before, even though I want to. It would be really helpful for me.

But, I don't think I can get uber where I live, so thats a bummer.

Uber drivers work for themselves, I'm p sure you have a few floating around nearby.
Just download the app and try it out. The first ride is free anyway I believe. (super helpful after a party lmao)
 
I've gotten an über many times and it always went well.

Much cheaper than a cab, and you are normally picked up in a decent car. You can also sometimes get your first ride for free.

Thanks for your input:) And your right, It must be as safe as a taxi or they wouldn't be aloud to drive people.

I know they also have a promo where if you refer someone you get 20$ for each person you refer that uses uber :)

I'm sure there are plenty more weirdos at the cons you're at than uber drivers.

I 110% agree with the first part of this part oh my.

But no, I'm pretty sure my country doesn't even offer the service.
 
I think Uber is illegal in my country. Never used it though, not need it

Because it was cheaper then normal Taxi's so they all lose jobs or something. I'll look it up

Yeah I'd love to see an article on it, really want to see their reasoning for banning it, isn't making things cheaper a good thing? Can't handle competition haha.

Yeah thats the reason why I need ubers where I live lol, because there are always parties over the weekend. :p
