A lot of people who are into webmaster/support sites similar to this have some knowledge of coding/programming, since there are so many languages available, it's hard to pick one and get going.

Visual Basic,
HTML,
php,
Java,
C++,
Python,
Perl,

& The list goes on..

My personal favourite is Visual Basics, since that's where I have done most coding in, I've used this to make basic tools just to learn and get the experience, from it I've made:

- Internet Browser
- Calculator
- A few apps for Bebo, such as ID collector.

Each time I've tried to make the GUI as good as I can.

I'll post some of the programs I've made later, just need to compile them.

So, what's your favourite programming language?

C++, seems like the best to me

It is I find it to be one of the most fulfilling languages.
Of course their are hundreds so their might be others.

I like PhP although I'm not very good at it, it's just so versatile.

My favorite is C++, I know 2 people who basically know everything to it.
They are database devs on my WoW private server, C++ is required to be a dev.

C++ is the main game dev language.
Though you need to now more than just the C++.
You need to know the specific library.

C++ is good but I think everyone needs to know html good before they move on personally.

Why would you need HTML if your designing games. If anything the only Web-Development language you would need when designing a Game for example would be MYSQL. Why would you need HTML if your making a application to be used on Windows.

HTML is like the basic web Development language. If you do web Dev then you definitely do. But if your not. Well it's wasted time and effort.

As much as it is considered 'noobish' by others, I like VB.NET. The first language I started to learn was VB.NET, so it will remain my favourite.

However, I also like HTML and CSS.

C#.Net

The .net platform is so amazing and powerful. Coding has never been easier

I didn't post this. I thought this guy just said PHP and C++ was his favourite... Fucking amateur programmers these days, hopping on the band-wagon of what "seems cool" just because everyone else is using it.
