I'm agnostic, formerly Muslim. I still follow Islamic 'rules' such as no alcohol and no pork/unhalal meat, simply because I find it convenient, I don't drink alcohol because I'll go fucking crazy if I do and I prefer my meat to not have blood in it.

My religious belief is that we can't 100% know for fact based off of scientific evidence that there is a God or some sort of Higher Power, and that even if God came down and was like, "HEY GUYS, LOOK! I'M REAL!" we'd never fully understand where everything comes from. That being said, I do believe there is a God that created us, but I'm not a "checklist" religious person. I think religion is a close, personal connection with a deity and while going to church/mosque/synagogue/whatever will HELP with those, organized religion is more for the community and less for the religious person-deity connection.

I believe in the Bible, and I believe in the Latter-Day Saint Prophet, and I believe in the Book of Mormon/D&C/Pearl of Great Price (Mormon books, basically)... But I believe that translation muddles things up, God's timing =\= ours, etc. You have to rely on that personal relationship and prayer to determine what things mean for you, etc.
