I hope you know, you can't build an engine, I'n tye case you think you could rebuild it, you can't. Every little gear and spring in the transmission is independent, lets say you grind your gears in the tranny, youbtry to replace, the thing is you can't, every little piece in the tranmission is unique, you can't have a new geat an old gear in your tranny, the tranny will slip and you will loose your gears. Just had to say that, but if you knew my shop teacher, you would know to do what he says, hes one big mother fucker and when he gets mad, hes like king kong, but hes definitely not the sharpest knofe in the drawer, surprised he even got the job.
I didn't know that. It was just an example in order to say that even though they're not academic they may not be completely useless. The place I'm staying at had some work done and the guy is dumb as a doorknob but he still did a damn good job on building those structures. He may have cut some corners but that's besides the point. And of course I don't know your shop teacher, I was simply intrigued. Even if he gets mad and you can see the steam coming out of his ears, he still can't do anything without facing much more serious consequences. I'm not surprised he got the job tbh. Standards are low in schools, academic and professional. Like I said about the HR drones, whoever hired him more than likely has no idea about teaching or shop.

What makes it worth it is if you pursue a major in something that not many people pursue. I know someone who majored in Diesel Ag and hes making upwards of $200,000 a year. If you pursue some stupid ass major which is useless like Philosophy then you've wasted your time and money.
