give me your opinions on which antivirus i should install.
i got avast but it took much of my ram, so im asking for your opinion.

I'm perfectly happy with Avast, though McAfee is pretty cool too, and I use it on my other computer

In my country smadav is best antivirus. But, for me, I prefer to used smadav and avira, for sure.

I use NOD for my PC. This is an effective antivirus and it is very easy to update too. Any brand or type of antivirus software will work for us as long as we keep it updated.

Kaspersky is best if you are willing to deal with the constant ALLOW BLOCK messages which come up frequently due to the many false positives which it detects.

I prefer Sophos Anti-Virus. It is a professional anti-virus system that is extremely secure. It is commonly used in offices and schools but you can buy a personal edition
