Good day, I dropped out of high school myself, which I don't regret one bit. After dropping out, I spent a few years home playing Socom: Confrontation on the PS3 and other video games most of the time. But, even though I dropped out, I was determined to not let it slow me down. I started to explore the web more and began venturing to new skills( from observe and apply )in various methods. I learned how to sell/market while being a merchant on eBay. I would buy electronics at lower note value locally or online ), and sell for a higher note value( locally or online ). About 2yrs passed by and I stopped doing that for a bit to play video games again. From eBay, I gained various skills in an array of different areas that helped with another venture later on. I then started to counsel anonymous citizens and was rewarded for my advice given. Time have passed, forward to present time now while typing this. I ventured back into the business venture, this time it was selling various pre'modded gaming accounts. I would buy them from a modder at a lower note value, then resell at a higher note value. Once I've given myself a brand, I removed myself as being the middle man and started doing accounts. I have retired myself from modding, and interested in how the stock market works.
To me, school seemed like an organized daycare until we graduate so that your parents could work. Also, to keep the youth minds occupied with a lack of necessary life lessons. Public schools are 100% flawed, not honestly giving you the *real* education as most overseas students are learning. Many people are holding college degrees that they probably won't be able to use due to this recession. That'll lead to working to pay off student loans for a long time into adulthood, unless you were given a scholarship. Most jobs are looking for people with experience than the degree you hold, which will help in some cases land a specific job.
End note, even though I didn't finish school or make any effort getting my GED, I have learned more out of school than being in school from L.I.Y and elder role models. Too bad this effort doesn't have backup proof on a resume.
