But won't the people with spaced tags and tenure be the only people to get the tag if it's there's unspaced?
Correct me if I'm wrong

as long as the spaced GT owner has a tenure, he'll be able to get the un-spaced version of the GT.

I'm sure even without the tensure the owner of a spaced version will still get it. Just have to wait for the 24 Hour head start for 1 year or more gold members. On the other hand, I could be wrong but it's always been clear that spaced tag owners were only ones to claim that tag once it gets reset
Side note: To all spaced tag owners, it's been awhile and finally the long wait is here. Good luck!

In a few years from now we can tell the new kids we were around when the legendary 2016 reset happened haha
 
For the people asking, this release is ONLY for 24 hours as they stated. In there article it says nothing about non tenures but people are reading things that arent verified from microsoft and making assumptions
 
I have never seen so many clueless people in the tag section.

Major Nelson said that you have to have more than a 1 year tenure... Here is the link: https://majornelson.com/2016/05/16/recycled-xbox-gamertags-releasing-may-18th/  Major Nelson works for Microsoft so i highly doubt that what he is saying is not verified by Microsoft.
 
I'm confused. Do you have to have a tenure or not? Why would major Nelson lie about that.
