Yes This is something that needs to be addressed, Guns were solidified into America's Constitution which I think was a good thing. A firearm may be used for multiple things, recreational uses (Target Shooting), Hunting and self-defense but there are those people I like to call the Crazies who mess up our constitutional rights. Firearms are one of the objects that brought this country during the American Revolution and the Civil War.
If you are saying guns are bad you have to go look back at history and how it shaped our nation and mostly the world. I don't think it's right of Obama trying to strip the rights of owning our guns because it is something that made America, America!I understand that there should be strict background checks I totally agree with that but people need to get one god damn thing straight. Most people who are against a firearm are blaming the gun for the violence that was caused. I have said and revisited this quote many times and I believe it to be pretty accurate, "Guns are not bad, it is the people who use them." If you blame a firearm for the death of your friend or just for violence in general, A GUN is not a living thing. Guns were brought into this world for recreational purposes, hunting game and self-defense. People have a choice to kill someone with a gun, it's their own decision its not like a gun can just magically grow some legs and a brain and have the mindset to just go kill people! No! Its the person who causes the action. If people really think of getting rid of firearms will help people will still kill because that's how some sick people are. If people wanted to kill they would find alternative ways of doing it! Guns are not going to stop murder!
If anything we should not sell firearms to someone with mental disabilities or a history of a violent past. There was a discussion with Pierce Morgan last night and he was saying how America should ban guns and be just like Britain, well i don't know if you know this but, almost every year there are big riots in the cities in England and many people die. Just by taking guns away is not going to stop hate crime! Also firearms are a big industry here in the U.S. and produce billions of dollars per year for our economy.
That would be a big slice of our jobs going down the drain and especially our money! We will have to eventually borrow from some third-world country again and get in more debt! I feel much sorrow towards the people of these tragedies, I know what it feels like to lose someone towards gun violence, one of my cousins was shot and killed by his mentally corrupt minded wife. He was only in his late twenties and he was gone just like that. During that moment I showed great anger and sadness but I had to realize that it wasn't the guns fault, it was the person who decided to use it to take ones life. I really miss him a lot. I just want people to realize that its not the gun that kills it's people.
