Do you believe in 2012?

Yes I believe there is going to be a year 2012 also that there is going to be a year 2013.
So the end of the world theory is bullshit

I mean, I don't know. I find it odd that several civilizations predicted the end on the same day. Doesn't everyone? I'll guess we'll have to wait and find out.

If you get into a car. There is a chance you will be in an accident.

On December 12, 2012. there is a chance there will be an accident. Do I think the Mayans predicted it no. Do I think its possible, yes. Do I think we should get ready for something big:

Better safe than sorry.

I think many people will commit suicide because they are scared and nothing will happen. Then everyone will be

I do find it odd. But I find it concidential, I mean it had to be predicted SOMEWHERE, right?
Well, it just so happens we're the generation it was predicted. Means nothing, really.

Come on, seriously? Anyone else out there that finds it totally bullshit? :victoire:

I find this crap, no one know when the world is gonna end or if it will even end like that, the movie was a total opinion pool.

They need to get there facts right.

There is proof that we are reaching a peak Solar Cycle in late 2012. We also predicted the Carrington Effect to take place sometime there. Furthermore, werent the Mayans really talented astronomers.

There was also evidence that a GRB (Gama Ray Blast) will shoot off from a distant star in 2012 and it may hit the Earth. Although it has a very low percentage of hitting the earth.

But what if it DOES!?? That means were all idiots for not listening and were all going to die?

Well if it does then we'll all die instantaneously, and there will be no way to stop it. Unless we moved everyone off of Earth, which is nearly impossible with our current technology.

I'm not sure because there is a lot of natural disasters happening in the world recently. Like earthquakes especially. That's how everything started in the movie 2012 and this whole solar storm that's supposed to hit us is kinda weird.

Personally I don't because no one will know when the world will end only God knows when the world will end. 2012 is just another 2000. In 2000 aka Y2k everyone thought the world was going to end then and got everyone freaked out and made everyone stock up on supplies and what not. So I think its just another Y2K.

Well Y2K was more of a scare because everyone thought all of the computers were going to go haywire and fuck everything up. 2012 is more of a series of natural disasters destroying the majority of life on Earth. But I get what you're saying about how people are just getting excited over possibly nothing.

Natural Disasters are more plausible then world wide computer failure.

I totally agree with you on this, only god now what's best, and when the world is gonna end, well said.

Ok if we rule out cosmic/natural disasters there are many more possibilities.

Pandemic?
or
Nuclear War?

This is why I don't believe in God.
I just don't understand how people can actually believe one greater being controls and created everything.
It just doesn't make sense to me.

Yeah. Why would god let hundred of thousands of people starve to death in Africa. Why would god let World War 1 and 2 happen. Why would god allow us to continue to burn fossil fuels and ravage mother nature?

Yeah exactly. If he was going to make such disasters, diseases, and struggles in life, why even give us life in the first place?
I'm sure there are tons of people that would rather have not been born than to live their lives.
