Your join date has everything to do with this. You don't know how the system is used on here, and haven't been around long enough to witness, or use it enough.

Kudos helps keep quality > quantity. Also, people give kudos for plenty of things, not just methods.

You can reply to more than just methods too....

Well then methods was a poor example. You made it seem as if people only give kudos when receiving things, which is not the case. Posting a thank you reply and dragging it out is still low quality.

Then don't say thank you.. Instead say what you liked/didn't like about a post....

You joined today and have spent a whopping hour and half browsing the forum. Now, I'm all for equality and one's right to speak what's on their mind, but you haven't even given the forum enough time to deem Kudos useless.

I find it funny that the only people defending kudos have ~500 kudos... there is no point for them.. at all.
"but you haven't even given the forum enough time to deem Kudos useless."
There is absolutely no argument in that statement... :L

Rowkew, actually get active on the forum before suggesting to remove one of the biggest unique features of fk.

You haven't used this site enough, or been here long enough to make a suggestion of this standard. I'm not sure why you are still arguing.

I'll give you kudos since I agree with you, it's pointless and should be removed just like the Koin system.

"unique features"
Unique? I recall it being VERY similar to thanks on LSX....

Nothing "unique" about it.

His post makes complete sense. The amount of time that you have put into this site compared to the time others have is insignificant. You haven't used the forum's features enough, and honestly, making this suggestion so fast after joining is ignorant.

Do I have 500 kudos? No.

LSX is almost as shitty as Sythe  and kudos is different than the like feature.

Joining time is NOT RELATED to this thread at all. Why people keep bringing it up? I don't know. It is as people don't think I understand how the mechanic works. Someone hits add kudos, it adds a number to their account. It can easily be abused and has no use. The number that is mainly used is rep, which voids kudo's purpose, and people can reply to a thread if they like it's contents.. Which also promotes activity and bumps the thread so others can see it.

I think that when you get enough kudos you should be able to upgrade. Lets say if I had like 100 kudos then I would get Onyx.

I hope you're not inferring I care about my Kudos count.

I missed the argument of this entire thread.

Useless argument #1:
It doesn't help anything at all.

Is it supposed to help something? Is Kudos some sort of customer service? Is it a hospital, a homeless shelter?

Useless argument #2:
I see absolutely no use for it.
You see absolutely no use for it, while very many users do. They use the Kudos system to thank users that have posted tutorials, giveaways, other helpful posts, or out right hilarious posts.

Useless argument #3:
Imho, kudos are completely useless and there's no point for them.

In your opinion. Okay, well in my opinion marijuana should be legalized nationwide, but as you can tell it's not.

Before you ask someone to present a rivaling argument, present one yourself.

I can go all night.

It is not abused. You haven't been here long enough to notice that, or long enough to see how the members on here use it. You joining, and the same day, making a suggestion to simply "remove" a feature on here that many people use and like is ignorant.

The rep system is abused, and pointless, which you would have known, if it wasn't your first day here.

No it isn't. You've got no idea how many exclusive features that site has over all the other relatively popular forums. LSX is one of the better forums around.

@Roku, the system is necessary and liked by majority of members so I doubt this will be getting removed any time soon.

If someone would like to thank someone for a post, they can + rep them instead. Kudos have no use and can easily be abused... Someone could easily get someone's kudo count up by kudoing every post made by a user, while rep is limited. Kudoing isn't nearly as noticeable as rep, as rep is green/red and is bolded on a user's profile, when kudo is just a small number, like post count. Kudoing doesn't promote activity or bump a thread either, like replying to a thread does. Kudoing has absolutely no benefits, other than adding to an almost unnoticeable number.. It is a complete waste of server resources and disk space.
