Social Engineering section

I feel like we could benefit from a social engineering section.

Usually they're overrun with shitty product scams for free pizza or some BS, but I've noticed that a majority of the users here seem to be ob above average intellect compared to the majority of forum communities. With that said, I think it could end up being quality. I'm a fairly skilled social engineer and could contribute a fair bit to the section.

All in favor? Opposed?

Although I feel the site could benefit from it, I still feel that a lot of low quality, frequently reposted methods will end up there. With that said, if this section was implemented there would need to be proper moderation keeping LQ "Free pizza" methods out of it, or at least, at a minimum.

I say no. I'm sick of Social Engineering and the scamming that comes with it. We don't need it.

Could make a separate section for product methods or something of the sort, that should keep most of it at bay.

I could see that working out. Still going to need to keep over-saturated methods out though. Don't need the same methods that have been given out hundreds of times over on other forums

You do realize social engineering isn't only scamming right? It's definition is "The science of skillfully maneuvering human beings into taking action in some aspect of their lives" We use it from the moment we begin to speak.

For you to call this idea "stupid" simply because you don't want it is very childish. Let Phil speak for himself.

The marketplace has scams happen in it, so what you're saying is that trading is considered scamming in many ways. Guess we should take that out?

Nope, the people who scam simply get banned, end of discussion. We do not want to promote scamming on ForumKorner, basically what @Leafs said.

We support mass registering usernames and reselling them which is illegal, also could be considered immoral considering you're hoarding them and taking them from people who would otherwise get them for free.

So what's the difference? You're splitting hairs. What's your agenda?

Alll I am saying is if we got this section I could get over 200 posts a day, I can go on and on with the methods I have.

@Philly would probably firstly not put this in since FK is on an onshore host and if he had a section like this since the host would terminate his hosting account. I used to social engineer and got some sweet goods out of it but it's scamming a company, no matter how big or small. A section like this will not benefit FK since it would then be competition to other social engineering forums. Saying that, there is no real need since there will be few people who actually contribute and just a lot of people leeching out of it.

It's a forum, it isn't liable for the content posted by users on it. If his host allows the buying and selling of gamer tags, they would allow that.

That's not the same as discussion of scammed items. A onshore host does not allow this. If FK is onshore. I don't Philly wants it anyway someone suggested it before and he said no so I don't think his opinion would change.
