"Trusted"

No matter the member I generally request a MM unless they feel comfortable going first to me.  I think rep does matter on any site which is unfortunate because gaining rep is one of the easiest thing to do.  I have no pity for anyone who gets scammed unless the member was very recognized as trusted throughout the community.  If someone has negative rep, nobody will deal with him, but if someone has a lot of rep everyone will automatically deem them trusted and go first to them.  Therefore, rep does have a major impact on people within the site whether it should or not.  I am willing to bet less people look at vouch threads than they do look at the user's reputation.
Middlemen are always a waste of time, at least for me anyway. First you have to find a middleman that both parties are willing to use, then you must wait for all parties involved to be ready. Too much preperation. I don't go first, or I don't deal. It's simple.

I go first to whomever I deem trusted which is a select few people on here and I'm open to using a middleman at any time as well.

Well if every new kid had an ego as big as yours we'd be fucked lol.

An egotistical additiude will get you no where in real life or on the internet. It just shows hidden weaknesses.

I am a business man, not a self-centered douche. I want my money and that is the end of it. I don't want to have to wait for my middleman to take a nap or shower before I make my money. Plus, nothing compares to the bond that a seller and consumer can build without the use of a middleman. Ego has nothing to do with it.

it's just crazy that light just joined this site April and already power+.
@Light shots fired. Light was just around at the right time and got it for a good price. upgrades on a site don't really mean much but I know he wanted that rep power

@old @light no shots fired lol, I like Light. I'm just surprised he got it so early, he's high quality which is a plus.

@keep @old I had to earn power plus, a shit load of minimum requirements and took a few tries before philly approved me. Funny seeing kids with like 7 posts having upgrades, but ya know things change I guess.

For certain deals I feel that way, but if a deal is say $100 plus, I will wait my time and wait for the most safe way to deal. Just personal preference I suppose.

I see, I rarely go first unless it's something I barely care about.

You could potentially get more money if you weren't impatient, but I mean that's how I see it.

@Light is going to be the first one that say I'm fucked up for this, but I feel no pity for the kids that get scammed by some 2015 "trusted" member all because they have an upgrade and colored username. So if I made a multi and spent $18 on an Onyx upgrade, I bet kids will go first to me just because of an upgrade. People are so quick to say I'm trusted, I'm not even trusted myself in the eyes of many but I get the job done and have no reason to scam for your shitty instagrams like: @repellantspray or your Kiks: 1.4.7.12 (Like damn, why your Kik look like my IP?) These people nowadays use no MM because the other person said "I won't scam" as if that is going to solve anything. I see like 5 scam reports on a "trusted" member that hasn't ever had more than 1 $20 deal and that deal was probably an upgrade. I'm sorry but some of you guys are pathetic, this is too funny. /rant over

@towel @gunnar @alaska @bomb @reset @slay @circuit

I highly agree with you man. Even though I'm from 2015 I still expect others to make me go first, and I don't complain if they want me to. I will start using you as a middle man though :)

Nignog, stick to "A Day in the Life of Jamil" videos. Forum rants and current events aren't your thing.

considering I have 900 posts since April means I'm pretty addicted right now aha, and I got onyx donator and power for 30$ in a sale and power+ for 50$

I think it's an elementary rule for doing business that the customer goes first.
I don't really buy anything, just sell, so I never go first under any circumstances. Even if the site admin himself wanted to deal I'd tell him go first or get lost.
Only time I've been scammed is by going first as a seller when I was completely new on hf and lost my gt Cartier.
Just thoroughly check your client's history and follow your intuition. I mainly use paypal, depending on the customer, and I have 0 disputes in multiple at least $5000 in transactions.

I Just always deal with a middleman. I dont care if you have 1k rep i aint going first we using a middle man lol
