I agree with everyone else. The quality if Astro's is outstanding. Everyone and everything came through with crystal clear quality and was told that the mic had pretty amazing quality output through my xbox. I think there's a reason that when a gamer hears "Astro's" they automatically think about the best gaming headset they could imagine
I had a set of A40's as well, and I used them for 2 years before I sold my whole gaming rig, which was a huge mistake. I'm thinking about buying the Astro A50's because they just look AMAZING. If I do i'll come back and tell you guys how they are
I have a pair of Turtle Beach X12's right now, and they're alright. Like Creator said, Turtle Beach seems like they're genuinely trying to make their headsets better, and they're doing a good job. I say give them a couple more years and they'll be competing with Trittons, MAYBE Astro's if they try REALLY hard
but for the sake of comparing them to the others, they have decent durability. I haven't pushed them to their limit but I have noticed something wrong with my right speaker ever since I took them off my head and let the two sides clap together on their own strength. I don't know if it's something easily fixed or if it's a bigger issue but I never had any kind of issue with my Astro's.
Now, I personally have never owned a Tritton headset, but I do have friends that have and they always say they're pretty good headsets. I can't honestly say how I feel about them because I've never had any to experience or test out, so I'm not very knowledgeable on theses
I'm sorry
I hope this helps with your school project at least a little bit man. Good luck, you better get an A
