Not necessarily, I believe in an afterlife but not out of fear. I'm not going say I don't fear death because I don't know for sure what happens when we die but the reason I believe in a afterlife is because I'm somewhat more at peace believing that I might see my loved ones and family again
What if your loved went to hell and you went to heaven or vice versa? How would that be paradise if you were separated from your beloved?
When we die our brain shuts down entirely, it doesn't go to some other dimension.
How about bacteria--do they go to an afterlife? The bible doesn't describe heaven being full disease.
Cells. How about cells--do they get an afterlife? Millions of cells die each second, but do they get an afterlife? If there was no cells, there would be no such thing as life or humans. And in the afterlife how would we look like ourselves if cells don't get an afterlife or all the small things that make humans, humans and only humans get an afterlife? Of course there is probably some bullcrap excuse to this.
Okay, okay. so what if there is a heaven--is it possible to die again? What if I drown in some pond? Are my lungs just going fill up and I'm not going to die? Or do I just respawn like it's a video game? And just like video games, they're fake. Made up. Not real.
Religion used the concept of a afterlife to control the masses of mankind.
There is no celestial paradise, firmament, purgatory, heaven, hell or afterlife. The concept of an afterlife was used to comfort theists and Christians, and trick them into believing that if they worship this guy called Jesus who died for our sins by saying that if you devote your life and love him more than your family that you'll go to heaven once you die. And we can't give solid proof that there is an afterlife since it's unfalsifiable(Just like God and almost every other illogical theist belief.) Which makes the concept of an afterlife so ideal.

I'd have to agree with Zeus. I mean, we don't know for sure, so I might as well believe in an afterlife, and if it's true, then that'd be wonderful. If not, then oh well, we wouldn't even notice we were believing in something that wasn't real since we'd be dead. And if it is true, we get to see our loved ones, and live an amazing after life after going trough all this bullshit. Everyone else who didn't believe, well, better luck next time. (Hypothetical)
So in other words, you believe that people should believe in things that are based of faith just because they have beneficial results... and if you're wrong, 'oh well'.
That logic can be applied to any belief no matter how realistic or absurd.
What if my god were a unicorn who farted out rainbows and skittles, and he preached that murder was a good thing, and that you must murder someone who is non-believer to get into this magical and heavenly place called unicornia once you die? Follows your same logic. The difference between my religion and Christianity is that Christianity is popularly believed in. The common misconception people make is that they think the majority must be right. The more logical side should be right. That's what the Greek philosopher Socrates thought.
Don't apply that logic to anything, especially religion.

So, believe in him because you don't want to be wrong in the end.
example;
Logically there is no way he could exist, but at the same you don't want to be wrong when judgement day comes, so you're not taking a chance of going to hell, when you could just say "I believe in God"
God is omnipotent. He would have known that you're lying(Assuming that you don't really believe in him and only say you do for benefits.)
Also, you just used that same logic again which I said previously not to use, because it makes no sense.
'Logically there is no way he could exist,' You just denied god and god is the holy spirit--which means you're going to hell, it even says so in the bible several times.
Mark 3:29
"But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin."
Luke 12:10
"And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven."
Religion is stupid.
Now the actual question:
I believe it's eternal rest, with no sentience of it.
About fearing death:
I don't fear death, I fear losing my life. The concept of death does not fear me the slightest bit.
