Cannibаl said:6. Bible is unreliable source of proof since it was made 2000 years ago.
9.b. The Bible is outdated.
17. Noah's Ark is impossible.
20. There's no proof of souls.
24. God is too busy to show himself for 1 second to prove to us that he exists.
25. Religion only causes more problems.
Sanctuary said:6. That's basically saying that the scientific method is unreliable because it was made a long time ago.

17. Everything and anything is possible. Sure, it's unlikely, but it's still possible.
20. There's no proof that we don't have souls. I myself don't believe in them though.
24. Pretty sure doing stuff around the universe is more important than showing himself to some non-believers.
25. I'm a Christian and it hasn't caused any problems for me. Lol.
Salvation said:Imagine if God is actually found to be or proven real? Then you would not be very lucky compared to us thus being proper, as the classy would say, "f worded".
Lots of work in good ol' purgatory for you folks.
Cannibаl said:Yeah you're right, good thing there's no such thing as God or purgatory.
Salvation said:But, seriously, what are we losing by following this? If anything we are just adding protection, which would be big in this case. We don't even have to tell anyone we believe in it if we don't want to.
Cannibаl said:Well, I would lose my dignity for following a religion which I know is not true and is based off a fictional book.
Salvation said:Which doesn't condemn what I said, yes. No non-believer has given me a thought-provoking response to that.
Cannibаl said:Yes it does answer what you said. I would lose my dignity. Why does that answer need the necessity of a thought-provoking response? So you're saying only theists have given you thought-provoking response? What is that thought-provoking response a theist would give?
Salvation said:They just agree with me, believing in God and religion has no consequences at all. All you said was that you don't want to lose your dignity to a fictional book, no one knows if it's fictional or not.

THC said:I am not saying i disagree with your stance on this subject, but a lot of your points are not well thought out. God is "all loving", but he is a very wrathful and vengful god. The bible does not endorse or condone sodomy or any of the things you listed. It is merely a collection of these events. You also said yourself that the religion, among practically all others, is based on faith. That in itself explains why god would not reveal himself (among other reasons).

Sliquifier said:Not trying to start an argument or take a stance on either side, but on point 18 you state that "God is evil". Aren't you contradicting yourself since you don't believe in "God"?
Something like 30sec because I was excpecting to die so I was so afraid that I couldn't do anything.Gin said:The fact that you let a candle burn for two minutes without picking it up is beyond me. If your gunna defend your beliefs at least dont lie about it
