Oh yea, I went back to this post and found thisAstro said:We are doing no such thing. He states that things are fact, when they are not at all.
No I do not think homosexuality is wrong.. I know it's wrong for an absolute fact. As that is how I was taught, and raised like every other straight american with a stable household, and a proper education. Do I give a fuck if you or anyone else is homosexual though? Fuck no... Do your thing, don't push it on me though as I already said. Anyone straight or even gay for that matter with any bit of respect would have absolutely no problem with that or even be slightly offended. -@philly

1-Born this way
2-Problems in life led to this
3-Gay because its the new fashion
I respect the first two a lot but seriously hate the third one.
1-It could be genetical (hidden gene in father and mother or parents could be gay and lesbo but got married to hide that)
2-A bunch of gay pedophiles fucked him while young or a missing parent (it doesn't apply for everyone) or maybe problems with women.
3 -Wow, everyone is suporting gays... I'll become gay! Fuck these people, at least there are not a lot.
I have never heard anyone who is gay from you last statement. I think the first two make you assume your last statement. I mean there were gays all the way back in Roman and Greek times. Also, number 2 should be reworded to an event (Like having intercourse with a girl, finding it disgusting, and changing on that you want to have intercourse with men).Chic said:I personally class gays in 3 categories:

Christianity[edit]wash said:Yes, and back in those times sexual orientation meant nothing. People only started being against gays after Christianity was popularized. You could be gay in Rome and no one would care as long as you paid your taxes and respected the emperor.
Leader said:The second one is just offensive. Couldn't positive things lead to the development of homosexuality in the future?
You must understand that the third case isn't actually homosexuality, it's merely an illusion of homosexuality. They are not actually attracted to the other sex, therefore wouldn't even classify for the category of 'homosexual'.

Lead3r said:Gay people don't choose to be gay, just like how you don't choose to be straight.'
Malzahar said:That's what I'm saying. You can SUCCESSFULLY make someone want to be homosexual or straight. It's not in your chromosones and it sure as hell isn't in your DNA.
Prepare said:I still fail to see how someone cannot choose who they are sexually attracted to.. Right now I am choosing to be straight. Tomorrow, I can choose to be gay.
Leader said:That's just an argument from personal incredulity. If you can choose to be attracted to men and women, you're a bisexual.
Prepare said:Correct. Which means your choosing to be bisexual. Just as you choose to be straight or gay. I really don't see how you can refuse to believe you have control over your sexual preference.
Leader said:You are bisexual if you are able to switch between sexes with no preference. However, it's not like I could choose to be sexually attracted to a man, or how I could not choose to be attracted to a woman. I refuse to believe it because the evidence isn't there. Everything we know about biology and psychology illustrates the exact opposite of your point.
Think of it this way. Let's label straight as right-handed, and gay as left-handed. If I'm right-handed, did I choose to be right-handed? Of course not. The same goes for homosexuality.
I would suggest doing some research before you continue to spout ignorance and illogic.

As for the hand analogy. Where did those traits come from? Your mother and your father. That is applicable for any traits you carry because you were created by them. How is a heterosexual couple going to have a baby that has, for lack of a better word, a 'gay gene' in it? I don't see where that would come from.
We are not trying to make it sound like a disease. Also, your last statement is saying that you think they are born gay and other decide when they are gayDevour said:I don't see why it matters if they are born gay or not, the thread makes it seem like homosexuality is a disease.. "Are people who have cancer born with cancer".. Geez
Yea, that happened to someone I knew. It was one crazy story.Draft said:Well you cannot make the argument that all gays are born gay, because there are some gays that were straight and then became fully gay (they did not like their opposite sex at all, therefore, they are not bisexual).
They might have switched because of an experience with the opposite sex or an event that happened in their mind.
