How Moderators Are Managed...

This is the best thread I've seen all week, I absolutely could not agree more. A new system should be implemented, since it seems there has been some deserving staff members in the past, but more importantly some undeserving aswell, In my opinion. I find that a paid group selecting staff members is absolutely absurd.

Yeah but I doubt anything will be done about it :/ Even when the majority of the site most likely agrees with this including multiple staff members.

I agree with this to some extent. You don't necessarily have to be in Envious to get promoted. It does help though.

Example; Paul H was just an ordinary member. But due to his experience on forums, he was promoted to Admin without being in Envious.

Well yeah, but like stated before it does help, a lot, which is unfair because only certain people that are friends with the owner get access to it. I think that if people don't like the idea of all the staff voting for the next staff member then there atleast should be a vote from all the staff for who gets into Envious and the group needs to become a little bit more prestigious and professional because of its importance.

btw you don't have the staff award lol, you should talk to one of the admins about that.

lol I'm not worried about an award right now :p but I think I get it when the "2 week trial" is over.

Envious is not as prestigious as it could be, but it still is rare. Not everyone gets a chance to be invited into this group.

But I believe the whole "bias" thing is not true. I was never really friends with Christy, and there were times when we didn't get along, but at the end of the day, she saw what I did for the Forum and kindly invited me in.

I do agree with the Staff votes for Moderators though. Seems like it could be a good idea.

I agree with this statement because for example,

Christy doesn't like a user but users know he deserves a spot or other members in Mod/Staff Team agree he should at least get a chance to see what he can do, then he should be put on the team.

It shouldn't go by if you make Envious then you're on the team.

But Envious is a good group to teach you etc.

But everyone has their opinions ;)

Well it's physically impossible for it to not be biased since one person, not a group of people, is choosing. And I just don't really think it's right, cause if you're gonna have a group like that then there should be set requirements like harder than Power+ or about the same and then we wouldn't even be talking about this cause everyone that met it would get in.

I lol at this all.

FK's systems have been flawed since the begining and it keeps growing somehow.

I think OP's mad cause he aint staff no more.

Well it would be easier on staff if there weren't ban evaders and multi-accounters like yourself.

If I was ban evading, I wouldn't of made it obvious.

If I was multi-accounting, my other accounts would be usuable.

Tatle-tale, and you get the d in the bumwhole.

Oh I missed your post earlier... Yes exactly, one person cannot always know whether or not someone will do a good job, so if all the staff vote then that would be much more reasonable and fair. And if the person still does a bad job then they will just be demoted or removed from Envious. There is NO downside to every staff member voting like there is for one person selecting them.
