It's the debates and philosophy section, where people express their INTELLIGENT opinions.

Not their close minded homophobic opinion based on stereotypical assumptions.

And even if all homosexuals "sounded annoying" or had a higher laugh, what kind of pathetic reason is that to dislike them?
You're judging them solely on your first impression, you don't even know them.

Who cares if they don't like them. I am personally not homophobic, and I find the reason you stated as pathetic as not. Why would someone make sure to change their voice to something else that they aren't. I see it as escaping themselves to be something else or to fit in with the other gays. I have known many gay people and I still am friends with the ones that haven't changed their personality due to their sexuality. I don't talk to the others anymore, but I don't see why my reasoning would be pathetic. You can argue some more, but my opinion won't change. I am sorry I am closeminded, but that is just how it is. You can call me ignorant and that is fine. I am quite ignorant.

Sexuality shouldn't be something anyone is ashamed of, I'll let you guys all in on a little secret. The only reason homosexuality and all of that gets so much hate is due to propaganda spread by the media, funded by the government, fueled by people's insecurities in their own sexuality, so they lash out at others for it.

I said that earlier so I'm quoting myself.

I disagree. I do believe that is indeed a partial factor, however, an insignificant one. I think most intolerance and hatred of homosexuality derives from religious doctrine. Homosexuality was socially acceptable behavior during the era of Ancient Greece and was not bigoted essentially at all. Not until Catholicism was enforced upon the people did it become socially erroneous and bigoted.

I don't like to associate myself or have any connection to them. They don't bother me by their sexuality, but by their personality. If you are gay you don't have to sound like a girl, you don't have to look and walk like a girl, you don't have to dress like a freak, and you don't have to have a different laugh than everyone els(as in high and changed from their original). I wouldn't care a guy person that behaved like nothing effected him, but with my experiences they all act way beyond a personality of a straight person.

The genitalia of a human doesn't truly define their sex. There's a reason a majority of gay men are so feminine.

Honestly, I'm disgusted by people who are against gays.
There's seriously no reason that a man shouldn't be able to love another man.

That is basically saying the same thing against other people for what they are doing. They don't like gays for some random reason and then you don't like the person against gays because of a random reason. Kind of odd mate.

Right, so you just dislike it when men are feminine?
You realise some men grow up with a high voice and are in fact not gay. They are simply a feminine male.

As Cannibal said, the sex of a human doesn't always have to match to it's personality. And it's not only proven in males, women can be equally masculine as men can be feminine.

It just so happens that some (not all) homosexual men take on a feminine personality.
Unfortunately this has become the stereotype for homosexuals, that men lose their masculinity, becoming 'pussies' or a 'fagg*t', and women lose their femininity, becoming 'butch' or a 'dike'.

I just mean the people that I have known and were not known to be gay until the future and then when they announced it, they would change their entire personality. Their voice just happened to be a part of it.

What I mean is, I think there's no good reason for gays not to be able to marry. I could see why someone would feel uncomfortable around a gay person or something like that.

I concur with that. Marriage= life time partner. Does not have to be female and a male.

Religious doctrine is ultimately media in that sense. Church and state were and always will remain connected, maybe not in the books, but in purpose.

True, one of my best friends growing up was always significantly more feminine than the rest of us, not much of a shocker when he came out.

I believe homosexuality falls into several categories, one being a decision based on plenty of criteria (whether it be a subconscious decision or not) and two, one being of genetics, and three some combination of the aforementioned two.

Both good points though.
