All of these ideas about "Scammer userbars" or a -rep/-vouch from TE are all decent, and I would consider them to be a slight improvement from how scamming is dealt with presently.
However, they are still not really addressing the issue at hand. These ideas would still show that scamming to some degree condoned in the community, every bit as much as a temporary ban does.
Each and every post that has been made in my thread is beginning to Segway away from the whole point.
Scamming should not be tolerated, and all scammers must be treated equally.
Concrete evidence of a scam should suffice for a permanent ban. Period.
Though some of you may think that there's a big difference between scamming $500 and scamming $5, there really isn't. The lack of principle behind it is the same.
